‘Bring city under JNNURM'

Federation of Consumer and Service Organisations has appealed to the Union Urban Development Minister to include Tiruchi under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) for strengthening the city's infrastructure.

Education centre

In a representation to Kamal Nath, Urban Development Minister, M.Sekaran, president of the federation, said Tiruchi is a major education centre. Several places of tourist importance were located around it and the city's infrastructure needs to be improved in a big way.
