New property and vacant land tax books to be issued
The Corporation has asked property tax and vacant land tax assesses to get their tax books replaced with new ones between April 25 and May 15 on all working days from 9 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.
Corporation Commissioner G. Latha said that the tax books were issued to owners of land and property assessed prior to 2008 during the tax revision process.
These books now in use are running out of pages for the period beyond the second half of 2012-2013.
Assesses should bring their old tax book as well as the book issued for recording the water consumption meter reading.
