Road renovation works begin

Renovation of roads within the municipal limits has begun at a cost of Rs. 9.90 crore in Krishnagiri recently. Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural Development, Prisons, Law and Justice K.P. Munusamy inaugurated the renovation works near Five Road junction. The roads to be renovated are: 4.62 km from TNSTC town bus depot to LIC (estimated cost Rs. 6.28-crore); 0.96 km from Sub Registrar Office to Tiruvannamalai Road junction (Rs. 0.90 lakh); 1.40 km from Five Road junction to Gandhi Statue on MG Road (Rs. 2.12-crore); 0.80 km from Gandhi Statue to Fish Market Mel Street (Rs. 60 lakh). A total length of 7.78 km road would be renovated at a cost of Rs. 9.90-crore within Krishnagiri municipal limits.

During the inauguration K.P. Chandrasekar, Divisional Engineer (Highways); K. Ashok Kumar, Chairman, District Panchayat among others participated.
