Municipal school to get more classrooms

The Municipal Pasupatheeshwarar Girls Higher Secondary School will get additional class rooms and laboratory soon.

A foundation stone was laid at a function held here on Sunday. Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha M. Thambidurai laid the stone.

A special puja was performed before starting the construction work.

Minister for Transport V. Senthil Balaji and Collector S. Jayandhi took part in the ceremony. A release said Rs. 38.5 lakh had been allotted for the project. Besides building additional classrooms, the basket ball court would also be renovated. It would be completed within this year.

Meanwhile, Mr. Thambidurai continued his visit to various parts of the Karur constituency for the second day on Sunday. He received petitions from the people.

Mr. Senthil Balaji accompanied him.
