In the 'Sardar Patel Vriksh Yojana' scheme, the tree sapling, its protection railing and pit would be provided by the civic body for a fee of Rs 1,100, officials said here. A plate would be allowed to be affixed on the tree guard railing to write the name and other details. Delhi BJP leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra and Mayor Kanwar Sain became first persons to avail the benefit. | |
