Modi asks civic officials to speed up work
PATNA: Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Thursday expressed dissatisfaction at the progress of work under the Mukhya Mantri Nagar Vikas Yojana while reviewing the work done by 11 municipal corporations and 43 nagar parishads.
He directed the executive officers of municipal corporations and municipalities to complete work in the urban areas under Mukhya Mantri Nagar Vikas Yojana to utilise the entire Rs 200 crore provided for the purpose.
Modi directed the civic officials to complete the construction of roads, creation of parks and improvement of river banks under the scheme in right earnest. He said all the district magistrates should review the work under the scheme every fortnight.
