PCPIR master plan bids opened

Ten agencies purchased the “Request for Proposal” and of them five submitted bids

PCPIR will be spread over 10 mandals in Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts


VISAKHAPATNAM: The process for preparation of PCPIR Master Plan has reached a definitive stage.

The Visakhapatnam- Kakinada Petroleum, Chemical & Petrochemical Investment Region (PCPIR) Special Development Authority, has opened the financial bids received in response to the notification issued by it for preparation of its Master Plan.

The bidders were asked to submit technical and financial bids separately with details for finalization of the consultant for preparing the Master Plan for the VK PCPIR, spread over 603 sq km in 10 mandals in Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts.

Ten agencies have purchased the “Request for Proposal” (RFP) responding to the notification and of them five have submitted bids. Spatial Decisions, Consulting Engineering Services (India) Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, Infotech Enterprises Ltd., Arvee Associates Architects, Engineers and Consultants, Hyderabad, and SAI Consulting Engineers, Ahmedabad, have submitted the bids.

Committee

The bids were opened in the presence of the committee consisting of VUDA secretary M.S. Bhagavan, Chief Urban Planner and Member Convener of the Panel of Jury K. Anand Babu and its members with 14 members including President of the Institute of Town Planners of India D.S. Meshram, K Ravi Anand, M. Karunakar Reddy, C.S.R.K. Prasad, Anjaneyulu, K Umadevi, Additional Commissioner of Delhi Development Authority S.P. Bansal, APITCO Senior Consultant K. Lakshmi Narayana and VUDA Planning Officer K.D. Brainard were present.

After a thorough study and examination, one of the five bidders will be finalized to take up the assignment of preparing the Master Plan for PCPIR.
