MCC resumes ‘operation demolition’

Encroachments on Dewan Road were cleared on Thursday.
MYSORE: “Operation demolition” to clear footpath encroachment was resumed in the city on Thursday. The drive began on Dewan’s Road near N.R. Choultry.
The operation was carried under tight police security.
The compound adjacent to the choultry of the Department of Muzrai that had encroached upon the footpath and also a portion of the drain was razed to the ground. A few petty shops on the footpath were also demolished. Clearance of encroachment on the footpath will help in the smooth movement of vehicles and pedestrians near the Amrutheshwara temple on the road.
