Students of VMC schools excel in SSC

The of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation run schools achieved 89 pass per cent in the Secondary School Education (SSC) examination conducted recently.

As many as 1,721 students from 28 schools, including Telugu, English, and Urdu media, have appeared in the examination. Of this, 1,535 passed out with flying colours. While 1,197 students from Telugu medium appeared in the examination, 1,043 students have passed.

Out of the 455 students who appeared from English medium, 432 students passed. Sixty students from Urdu medium passed while 69 of them appeared. Nine English medium schools achieved 100 per cent results, while 17 achieved 90 per cent results. Twelve schools achieved 80 to 89 per cent results, and seven schools achieved 70 to 79 per cent.

Timiri Mallikarjuna Rao and Chandravathi Municipal High School student N. Mallesh, and VM Ranga Girls High School student A. Sneha Sudha secured 10/10 points.

Municipal Commissioner G. S. Pandadas congratulated the students who excelled in the examination.
