Allahabad Municipal Corporation opens 10 shelter homes for the poor

ALLAHABAD: In view of the prevailing chilly weather, Allahabad Municipal Corporation has opened about 10 temporary shelter homes in various parts of the city. Representatives of social organisations, trade unions and philanthropists have taken the initiative to guide the helpless and needy persons to these temporary shelter homes during the night hours. The management of the shelter homes has been given to Abul Kalam Azad Sewa Sansthan. A meeting of the santhan was organized on Sunday in which it was decided that volunteers of the organization will move during the night from 8:00 pm to midnight and take the poor and hapless people to the shelter homes that have been set up by AMC. This team will visit the areas under the supervision of shelter home incharge Sanjeev Pradhan and secretary of Abul Kalam Azad Sewa Sansthan Nazim Ansari.
