Water Board staff told to increase collection

Hyderabad: M.T. Krishna Babu, Managing Director and K. Ashok Reddy, Executive Director, HMWSSB, held a meeting with the filed staff of Revenue billing on Tuesday. They were told to increase the revenue collection to Rs. 40 crore against the operational expenditure of Rs. 42 crore per month.

At present the revenue of the Board is Rs. 25 crore per month which is far below the mark and it is very difficult to manage the power bills, salaries, loan repayments and O&M works, according to a press release.

Mr. Ashok Reddy interacted with the field staff and asked them to streamline billing and collection process so as to improve operational efficiency.
