Corporation launches bin tracking

Chennai Corporation as a part of its SWM initiative has introduced a bin tracking software which would ensure a timely pick up and clearing of bins.

This is monitored by the Corporation through a centralized monitoring facility. The photograph of the bins cleared are taken and uploaded. The bins that have not been cleared on time are coloured red which enables the Corporation to take timely remedial action.

The Corporation has solicited active public participation to make the city garbage free through a public led monitoring system.

The site provides a provision to register the complaints regarding non/delayed clearance of bins or call a toll free Corporation complain No 1800-425-1566 .The public can log on www.cmsw.co.in and click on to the ‘bin map’ to know the real time data of number of bins cleared in any given area.
