Corpn. serves notice on Stanes School

Coimbatore Corporation has issued notice to Stanes School seeking explanation for the poor maintenance of water purifiers on its campus.

According to sources, the City Health Officer issued the notice on Tuesday invoking provisions of the Tamil Nadu Public Health Act, 1939 saying that a Corporation official had found dead and live bandicoots in the water purifier when he inspected the same following complaints from parents on that day.

The City Health Officer had also asked the school to reply within a day of receiving the notice. The Corporation officials on Thursday confirmed that the school had responded to the notice explaining its position.
