Online payment facility essential

Tiruchi Corporation should introduce online payment of property tax, water charges etc.

Apart from convenience, the move willreduce much paper work in collecting its dues.

I hope the Corporation will consider this plea and introduce such a facility from next financial year onwards.

“Theatres require a facelift”

Many theatres in the city have failed to maintain its neatness and they are not in a good condition in recent years.

If new ad lab theatres and multiplexes are built it would give a face lift to the city.

The theatres association should consider this and do the needful.

Toilets needed at Bus Station

The stench that emanates from the open toilets in Manapparai Bus Station is unbearable.

Inspite of the Municipal Office being near the station, the routine cleaning is not being taken care of.

The authorities concerned are requested to build closed toilets.

Removal of garbage

Most of the time, workers from Municipality remove the garbage during peak hours in the morning.

The stench is felt all through the road.

It would be better if the work is completed before 7.a.m. in the morning.

Steps should be taken to avoid health issues.

Cattle menace

The frequent cattle menace between Sabari Mills and KK Nagar bus terminus in recent times has caused causalities due to sudden crossing of cattle and minor accidents.

The menace should be contained to avoid further accidents.

Overbridge not in use

It is almost seven or eight years since the over bridge in Tennur being in use.

Due to improper planning, the Sastri road is very difficult to be accessed from Tennur high road from the end of the bridge.

The entry is very narrow area and the small stretch serves as a two way facility.

One has to see to believe the ordeal the road users are put to while negotiating the zone.

It is a very busy road where schools, EB office, shopping malls, marriage hall and a couple of health centres are situated. Moreover, the tar coating was not properly laid and road is in a bad shape.

The authorities should remove all the encroachments on both sides of the service road, relay them and make them fit for use.

The service roads should be made one way on either side of the flyover for the safety of the school children.

V. Raghuraman,

Tennur
