Funds for special project

TIRUCHI:The State government has sanctioned Rs.25 crore to Tiruchi City Corporation under a special project for provision of road facility in the city.The roads which were not maintained for the past five years or which have borne the brunt of natural calamity such as floods will be given priority for immediate maintenance under the special project.

M. K. Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister, gave away the orders sanctioning the funds to S. Sujatha, Mayor of Tiruchi Corporation, at Chennai on Friday. The Principal Secretary to Municipal Administration and Water Supply, Ashok Vardhan Shetty and Tiruchi Corporation Commissioner T.T. Balsamy were present.
