Minister promises basic amenities for residents in Krishnagiri Municipality

The general demand of the residents were water supply and road facility.

Minister for Municipal Administration and Rural Development K.P. Munusamy has said that basic amenities would be improved for the residents of Wards 1 to 11 in Krishnagiri Municipality.

The Minister visited 11 wards and heard the grievances of the public and received petitions at several places. People urged the Minister to provide regular water supply.

Presently, it was being supplied once in a week in many wards.

Toilets

The general demands from the public were water supply, road facility, electricity, construction of public toilets, desilting of lake, old-age pension and also remove the electric poles in the middle of the road.

After hearing the grievances from the public, Mr. Munusamy instructed the officials to repair the canal that brings rain water to the lake behind the new bus stand, construction of bunds along the lake and removal of water hyacinth from Namazkuttai.

He also instructed the Municipal Commissioner to ensure proper water supply to the residents of the wards 1 to11 by setting up overhead tanks.

K. Ashok Kumar, Chairman, District Panchayat, K.R.C. Thangamuthu, Chairman, Krishnagiri Municipality, P. Balakrishna Reddy, Chairman, Hosur Municipality, P. Manoharan, Revenue Divisional Officer, Elangovan, Krishnagiri Commissioner (in charge) were accompanied the Minister.
