Encroachers evicted in Ooty
Efforts are on to find a lasting solution, says Commissioner.
In an operation described by many here as ‘better late then never’ civic officials evicted encroachers from the boathouse road here on Tuesday. With increasing congestion on the main roads, particularly those leading to popular tourist spots like Ooty Lake having become a major source of concern, road side encroachments had been identified as one of the main contributory factors. However, despite several complaints action against them had been conspicuous by its absence.
