Rest rooms to be built for drivers at truck terminal
Mayor A. Jaya has directed the Tiruchirapalli City Corporation officials to build rest rooms and other amenities for drivers at the truck parking lot situated on the East Boulevard Road in the city.
The corporation has planned to build rest rooms with toilets and provide commercial space for selling spare parts at its truck parking lot on the East Boulevard Road.
Ms. Jaya, during an inspection on Thursday, directed the officials to execute the work at the earliest.
Earlier, she inspected the Amma canteen in Ariyamangalam zone. She visited the corporation central godown to inspect the 800 garbage bins acquired by the civic body for source segregation of degradable and non-degradable solid waste.
Commissioner V.P. Thandapani was present.
