1,576 water samples tested
Officials of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC)
tested 1,576 water samples in the city on Thursday, and confirmed that
the drinking water contains chlorine as per the prescribed standards.
The
VMC officials said that 529 samples were tested in Circle-I, 552
samples were checked in Circle-II and 495 water samples were tested in
third Circle and the drinking water was good.
The Engineering wing staff appealed to the public to keep the surroundings clean and consume boiled and filtered water only.
