71 nominations rejected in Bidar
As many as 71 nominations were rejected during scrutiny
of applications for the urban local body (ULB) elections in Bidar on
Tuesday. There are 763 candidates left in the fray now.
As
many as 55 nominations were rejected in Bhalki of the 143 nominations
to the town municipal council. Seven out of 179 nominations for the
Basavakalyan City Municipal Council were rejected.
In
Bidar, six out of 218 nominations were rejected, for the 35 wards in
the city municipal council. Aurad had three rejections out of 70 .
No nomination were rejected in Humnabad and Chitaguppa.
Political
leaders, however, say their problems have just begun. Each party faces
the threat of rebellion as there are several aspirants in all towns.
