Siddaiah visits skywalk near golf club

The BBMP envisaged the construction of a seven-feet overbridge following recommendations of an expert committee constituted for the purpose of weighing the PPP model.

The foot overbridge constructed near Jayanagar Bus stop by M/s. Vantage Advertising Pvt. ltd. will be shifted because of the BMTC Complex that has come up. It will be relocated near Sophia School in the interest of the public, especially school children.

Garbage clean-up

Taking the drive of waste segregation at source, BBMP Commissioner Siddaiah directed officials to ensure that apartment complexes, schools, malls, tech parks and other places set up such facilities in their premises.

Palike to ring schools

The standing committee on education in the BBMP will get daily updates through ‘phone in’s’ from schools.

B V Ganesh, chairman of the committee, will make regular phone calls to schools and interact with the heads to ensure proper communication. He will discuss the problems and try to find a suitable solution.

Commissioner to officials

Provide security to children utilising the skywalk by providing six-feet high mesh of 16 gauge along the railing of the staircase and elevated footpath.
