Water scheme launched
Minister for Infrastructure and Investment Ganta
Srinivasa Rao on Sunday inaugurated a 12 million litres a day (MLD)
water scheme at Siddhardhnagar in Ward 58. The plant was constructed at a
cost of Rs.16 crore.
The Minister said of the 20
projects taken up under the JNNURM with a cost of Rs.1,885 crore, seven
were water projects. In the JNNURM Plus too, water supply would get
priority, he said adding priority would be given for protected water
supply in the slums keeping in view the growth in population.
