Draft development plan for Manesar urban complex approved
The District Planning Committee and District Level Committee on
Thursday approved the draft development plan of Gurgaon-Manesar Urban
Complex-2031.The committees, which met under Deputy Commissioner P C Meena,
approved a plan to accommodate a projected population of 41.65 lakh.
Under the plan, a total of 32,408 hectares of land has been
proposed for urbanisation, of which 15, 828 hectares will be used for
residential purposes, 1, 577 hectares for commercial, 4,533 hectares for
industrial and 4,420 hectares for transport and communication purposes.
Officials said 626 hectares have been reserved for public
utilities, 2,761 hectares for open space, 153 hectares for a special
zone and 633 hectares for defence purposes.
The Wazirpur- Farukhnagar road and Gurgaon- Badli- Bahadurgarh
Road has been proposed to be widened to make it 75 metres with a
30-metre green-belt on both sides. A bypass, 90 metres wide and with a
30-m green-belt on both sides, has been proposed connecting Sohna Road
and NH-8 beyond Manesar.
Apart from this, approximately 50 hectares of land has been
reserved for wholesale building material market, grain and vegetable
market in Sector 99 A — on the northern side of railway line along newly
proposed 75 m wide road.
An area measuring 40 hectares, by the side of this market site,
has been reserved for parking heavy vehicles like trucks, trailer and
other vehicles.A plot measuring 45 hectares has been reserved near village
Dhankot village for shifting of all the existing dairies in the city.
