Notification issued for election to urban local bodies
Election model code of conduct has come into force from February 15.
Deputy Commissioner and the district returning officer
Sameer Shukla has issued the notification announcing elections for the
urban local bodies (ULB) in the district here on Friday.
Accordingly,
the elections for the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC), the
Town Municipal Councils of Navalgund and Annigeri and the town
panchayats of Alnavar, Kalghatagi and Kundagol will be held on March 7.
Reservation of wards will be according to the reservation list of 2007.
The
election model code of conduct has come into force from February 15 and
will be in force till elections are completed. Filing of nomination
papers will begin on February 16 and the last date for filing nomination
papers is February 23. The scrutiny of nomination papers will be held
on February 25 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is
February 27. The voting if necessary will be held on March 7 from 7 a.m
to 5 p.m. The re-polling if necessary will be held on March 9. Counting
of votes will begin at 8 a.m. in all taluk headquarters on March 11 and
the results will be announced on the same day, the release said.

Engineer’s office; Ward 11-15: Museum hall; Ward 16-20: HDMC meeting
hall 1st floor.
HDMC- Hubli — Ward 21-24: HDMC zonal
office No 4, Navnagar; Ward 25-29: Room No 101, HDMC office; Ward 30-34:
Room No 102, HDMC office; Ward 35-39: Room No 103, HDMC office; Ward
4-44: Room No 104, HDMC office; Ward 45-48: Nagar Bhavan, J. C. Nagar;
