Municipal Corporation starts door-to-door property tax collection drive
(SMC) has kicked started a door-to-door campaign for the collection of
the pending property tax from the users in the diamond city starting
from Monday.
The SMC’s property tax department officials visited

Until now, the department has been successful in achieving 70 per cent of the target set for the collection of property tax.
Senior officials said that the department has kick started the
door-to-door campaign in all the seven municipal zones to collect the
pending property tax from the users.
“We are also targeting the
residential and commercial users in the municipal zones who are yet to
pay their property tax in the door-to-door campaign” said a senior
property tax official.
