GHMC to net 780 cr. in property tax
The GHMC is likely to mop up a never before property tax
collection to the tune of Rs.780 crore by midnight as the financial
year comes to a close.
Target amount
Although
it is about Rs.70 crore less than the targeted sum Rs.850 crore, it is
Rs.146 crore more when compared to last year’s figure of Rs.634 crore,
an official spokesperson informed on Sunday.
The
civic body revenue also got bolstered in the year with the advertisement
revenue increasing by Rs.5 crore by netting Rs.27 crore and issuance of
trade licenses by Rs.4.22 crore, netting Rs.25.22 crore.
The penal fee collection from processing BPS applications is Rs.72 crore and Rs.150 crore for LRS applications.
Incidentally, the government announced the last date for clearing BPS and LRS pending applications too as March 31.
It is Rs.146 crore more when compared to last year’s figure of Rs.634 crore.
