AMC unveils its ‘heat plan’
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Tuesday unveiled its “heat
plan” aimed at putting in place an early warning system to prepare
people for heat wave conditions and protect them from the same. The
draft plan, which has been finalised by the AMC, Indian Institute of
Public Health and Natural Resource Defense Council, a US-based
international environmental advocacy group, was unveiled here in
presence of Municipal Commissioner G P Mohapatra and Mayor Asit Vora.
