Picnic hut to come up at forest in Indore
Realising that there was no place where visitors could take refuse in case of sudden rains, mayor Krishnamurari Moghe has directed to build a hut capable of housing nearly 100 people.
The hut will also have benches so visitors can rest and it would also
serve as picnic spot. Civic officials are instructed to repair road
leading to the site and also installed a gate so people know the path
leads to the City Forest.
District administration has handed over 30 acres of land at Bicholi Hapsi
for City Forest. Saplings will be planted in association with forest
department and irrigation department will explore the possibility of
developing a water body at the site.
City Forest will be have
different varities of trees and shrubs and the stress will be on flora
that attracts birds rather than on decorative plants. Unobtrusive
pathways that do not have an adverse effect on green cover will also be
built.
Meanwhile mayor also reviewed the on going works at 25
gardens at and asked completed by the end of the month. So the gardens
can be dedicated to public on May 15.
