Park to be more inviting
The City Corporation is planning to give facelift to the
children’s park, near the Saraswathi Mandapam, at Poojappura.
Corporation works standing committee chairman V.S. Padmakumar told
The Hindu
that the civic body was preparing ground to beautify the park and
construct a multipurpose hall there. The beautification and construction
of the hall would cost Rs.30 lakh. “Work to construct the hall has
started and it is expected to be over in a couple of months. It will
have the capacity to accommodate 150 to 200 people,” he said.
