Civic body seeks help from city police

MAY: The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has sought city police’s
help to stop illegal car parking along various city roads. Mr Rajib Deb,
member, mayor-in-council, today held a meeting with deputy commissioner
of police (traffic) and other senior officers. Cars are illegally
parked along nine important city roads. Middlemen take bribe from car
owners, said Mr Deb. However, he refused to disclose the name of the
nine roads where cars are parked illegally.
