BWSSB issuing water, sanitary connections
Water consumers from Bangalore can now apply for water
and sanitary connection directly through their respective Bangalore
Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) sub-divisions or through a
licensed plumber.
House owners can directly submit
applications with a copy of the sanctioned plan, tax paid receipt or
khata certificate and related papers to the BWSSB division office.
After
receiving the applications from the house owners, an Assistant
Executive Engineer of the BWSSB will issue demand note to them based on
inspection of the property by a water inspector / Assistant Engineer.
On
receipt of payment from the house owners, the BWSSB will sanction the
water connection and issue meter to the respective water inspector who
will supervise the installation of the water meter.
A
release said that owners of buildings can use the services of
authorised plumbers for plumbing work. BWSSB has put out the list of
licensed plumbers on its website,www.bwssb.org.
