Vanukuri likely to be VGTMUDA Chairman
Vanukuri Srinivasa Reddy is likely to be chairman of
Vijayawada Guntur Tenali Mangalagiri (VGTM) Urban Development Authority
as the Congress government began filling up nominated posts just a year
before the polls.
A staunch loyalist of Y.S
Rajasekhara Reddy, Vanukuri was rewarded for his loyalty to the Congress
even in the face of large scale of migration of leaders belonging to
Reddy community to YSRC. Mr. Reddy has missed the bus in 2007 when he
was tipped to become the chairman of Agricultural Market Committee. But
then, Lella Appireddy clinched the post with the support of Y.S Jagan
Mohan Reddy and Venukuri was asked to share the term of three years. But
the latter refused and since then has been waiting in the wings.
A
leader who has emerged from the student union, Mr. Srinivasa Reddy held
important positions in Youth Congress and was PCC secretary.
