Annual plans of 44 local bodies in Palakkad approved
The District Planning Council on Monday approved the
annual plan of 44 local bodies for 2013-14. As many as 8,734 projects
worth Rs.445 crore were approved.
The council also approved an annual plan of Rs.12.93 crore for the Palakkad block panchayat.
General category
In
the general category, 50 projects costing Rs.5.92 crore will be
implemented, and in the Scheduled Caste development category, 43
projects will be taken up.
The council meeting was
attended by district panchayat president T.N. Khandamuthan, Additional
district magistrate K. Ganeshan, and district planning officer P.P.
James.
