No piped water for a day
Residents of some areas in south Chennai will not
receive piped water for 24 hours from 9 a.m. on Friday. Chennai Metro
Rail Limited has proposed to divert the water pipeline and interconnect
it with a newly laid one on GST Road near Meenambakkam, on Friday.
As
a result of the work, there will be no water supply in Alandur,
Adambakkam, Balaji Nagar, B.V. Nagar, Nanganallur and K.K. Nagar in
Alandur, Cantonment Board, Officers Training Academy, Meenambakkam,
Indian Air Force Station, Pammal, Anakaputhur, Pozhichalur, Cowl Bazaar,
Munavar Avenue and Kannabiran Koil Street in Pallavaram. A press

said residents may store sufficient amount of
water in advance and contact Metrowater officials for tanker water:
