Special coaching for sanitary workers’ kids
The Tiruchirapalli City Corporation will take steps to
provide special coaching to the wards of sanitary workers of the civic
body so as to prevent them from dropping out of schools.
Speaking
at a grievance redress meet exclusively for sanitary workers of ward 15
of the Corporation here on Tuesday, Corporation Commissioner V.P.
Thandapani said wards of sanitary workers would be provided coaching
with the help of voluntary organisations at the nearest community centre
or corporation schools.
Adequate basic infrastructure will be provided at these places to provide coaching from Monday to Friday.
“We
want your wards to be well educated and become officers like us,” he
told the workers. Mr. Thandapani said that steps were taken to build 200
houses for sanitary workers in each of the four zones of the
corporation.

would be awarded prizes.
