SEC issues notification for BMC election
Bhubaneswar, 7 December – The State Election Commission (SEC) today issued notification for the
election to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC). According to the
notification, the polling will take place on 8 January and counting of
votes will be held the next day.

“The aspirants can present their nomination papers between 16 December
and 20 December. The scrutiny will take place on 23 December. Those
interested to withdraw their candidature can do so on 26 December,” said
a senior official in the Commission.
According to the election schedule, polling will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
