The central zone of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation
demolished 24 of the 93 structures identified for removal to facilitate
widening of Road No. 13 in Banjara Hills in the city to 60 feet.
The
road connects the arterial Road No. 1 and another important road, Road
No. 12, in Banjara Hills, GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar has said.
He
said 20 structures were acquired by land acquisition proceedings and
the other four were negotiated for building permission. The remaining
structures also will be acquired under land acquisition process and
demolished in a phased manner.

D.Ronald Rose supervised the demolition work in which land acquisition
officer Suryakala, city planner of central zone Khaleed Sarwar,
executive engineer Venkata Ramana and other officials participated.
