City water board managing director J Syamala Rao instructed the
general managers (engg) of operations & maintenance divisions on
Tuesday to ensure that the red notices, Form-I under RR Act, were not
only issued to the defaulters but the connections were also
disconnected.
If any connection is reopened illegally, a police
complaint should be lodged immediately. A survey should also be
conducted on multi-storied buildings.
Rao held a review meeting on
the board’s revenues at Metro Staff Training College in Hydernagar.
Issuance of red notices and Form-I under RR Act, status of meters,
billing pattern, verification of disconnected connections, water
accountability and change of categories were discussed. Rao asked the
directors to coordinate with GHMC authorities on road-cutting
permissions.
