10 lakh houses to be constructed with CREDAI’s support
Vijayvargiya has said that effective action have been started to provide
high-quality affordable houses to 10 lakh families in Madhya Pradesh.
For this, cooperation of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’
Association of India (CREDAI) will be sought.
Vijayvargiya was addressing a convention of CREDAI at Indore on
Wednesday. He said that interests of plot holders and house owners will
be fully protected. If needed, process to allot houses will be
simplified and policy and rules will be amended. On suggestions put
forth by CREDAI, Vijayvargiya said that good suggestions will be
implemented at the earliest. He said that 10 lakh affordable houses will
be constructed for people in the State.
For this, he also sought suggestions from CREDAI. He asked the
institution to chalk out a blueprint for this. Earnest efforts will be
made in this direction, he added. He said that due to some elements, all
builders and colonizers are being seen as land mafia. It is unfair to
blame all due to such handful people. He asked members of CREDAI to help
in urban development of the State.
Indore Mayor Krishna Murari Moghe also spoke on the occasion. CREDAI’s
National President Lalit Kumar Jain said that prices of houses and
plots can be reduced if procedures and rules are simplified. He said
that better use of land and resources available in cities should be
ensured. He suggested for a single window for all permissions and
licences to builders and colonizers.
Indore Development Authority Chairman Shankar Lalwani, Vice-Chairman
Hari Narayan Yadav, Principal Secretary Urban Administration SN Mishra,
Commissioner Urban Administration Sanjay Shukla and Commissioner Housing
& Environment Gulshan Bamra were also present on the occasion.
Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya also reviewed preparations for 3-day Davis
Cup Tennis Competition to be held at Indore from January 31. It will be
held at Tennis Club court till February 2. Vijayvargiya directed that
players and spectators do not have to face at any difficulty.
