Municipality expresses thanks for Golden Jubilee gift
The Edappadi Municipality thanked the former Chief
Minister Jayalalithaa for sanctioning Rs. 25 crore to the municipality
for launching activities for the overall development of the town, when
she was heading the State Government.
The fund was sanctioned in connection with the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Municipality.
A resolution to this effect was adopted at a regular meeting of the municipal council held recently.
Kadiresan, Chairman, presided over the meeting.
The
councillors who participated in the discussions, alleged that garbage
was not being removed from the town on a regular basis, and this has led
to health and hygiene problems.
Mr. Kadiresan promised to speed up the garbage cleaning work.
The meeting adopted 62 other resolutions.
