Mysore civic body team visits MC office
CHANDIGARH: A 20-member team of elected representatives and officers of Mysore’s civic body visited the city’s municipal corporation office on Monday. The team had come to study various projects being undertaken here.
They met mayor Kamlesh and senior deputy mayor Harphool Chand Kalyan along with other councillors. Municipal Corporation additional commissioner PK Sharma and joint commissioner TPS Phoolka provided a brief introduction of the projects and functions of the civic body to the visitors.
The team studied green belts and gardens here and expressed its appreciation for the MC’s efforts. Deputy mayor of Mysore, Sharadamm, appreciated Chandigarh MC’s maintenance work for roads and parks. She stated that there were 245 parks of two to five acre in Mysore and the annual budget was Rs 200 crore for 65 wards. She added that Mysore was a heritage city and Dussehra celebrations there were its most colourful annual event.
The delegation’s other members were Srikantaias, Jaya Shankara Swamy, Lingappa, Mallirh, Byrappa, Chalunegowala, Jayaram, Shivanna, Kempanna, Vidya Uras, Purphalaka, Parvathi, Asha Laxmi Naryana, Durphatatha Jaganath, Laxmanna, Shankras, Farooq Azam and Nirmala among others.
