Agaram ward seeks attention

BANGALORE: Agaram needs immediate attention of the BBMP authorities. Missing stone slabs from footpaths and potholes are common sights that are found throughout the ward. This situation is posing a fatal threat both for the pedestrians as well as the motorists.
The condition of Gautampura Football Ground is another major issue for the residents of this area. The fence surrounding this ground is not in sound condition.
Many of the wires are broken and at some portions are missing. Flowing by the side of the road is a huge open drain. Half the road is in shambles and this poses a threat to safety of the children, for whom this ground is a play zone.
The residents of Atlery Road 2nd Cross have a different set of issues. Parveen, a housewife said, “Water supply is not adequate particularly in our cross. We get it only after 8 pm and it does not stay for more than one hour.”
She further added, “The garbage cleaners also do not come on a regular basis. So garbage disposal also is a major problem for us.”The condition of the lane adjacent to St Miras School too is miserable. One side of the road is destroyed completely. A huge drain is flowing by its side and there is no railing for safety. This is extremely dangerous for the children as well as other pedestrians who use this lane for commuting often.
“We have complained several times to the corporator. She always says the problem will be solved soon but it never gets resolved,” said Kalai Salvan, resident of Dinabandhu Nagar. The corporator, Srimathi Sarala was unavailable for comment
