Another building sealed
The Municipal Corporation authorities sealed a building on Scott Road in the city on Thursday.
According
to a press release, an individual, Anbazhagan, was given permission to
construct a building (Survey no. 764/14, door no. 5/5 A) with a basement
and three floors in 27,738 sq ft between 10 August, 2008, and 9
January, 2010.
On completion, the building was
constructed up to a height of 12 metres, in violation of rules since
buildings up to one kilometre radius of the Meenakshi Sundareshwarar
Temple should not be more than nine metres high.
Dedicated phone number
The
Corporation has put in place a dedicated phone number (94421 88993) to
receive complaints related to drinking water supply, broken drains or
sewage issues. People have to call the number and give their name,
address and a short description of their problem.
