BBMP citizen services under Sakala
The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) may soon
bring all its citizen services under the Sakala scheme. This was decided
at a meeting chaired by Commissioner Rajneesh Goel recently. According
to a press release, the BBMP offers five services under Sakala.Special
Commissioner (Projects) K.R. Niranjan has been appointed as the nodal
officer, while the Additional Commissioner (South) will assist him.
The
meeting was attended by zonal commissioners and heads of the various
departments. They were instructed to make a list of the unauthorised
buildings coming under their jurisdictions as per the directive of the
Karnataka High Court. They were asked to verify the list and submit it
to his office.
Mr. Goel directed the zonal engineers
to conduct a survey on potholes and footpaths across the city. The BBMP
will release funds for the repair works only after the survey report is
submitted.
