BBMP drive for trade licences
Bangalore, October 18, DHNS:
The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has launched a campaign to issue trade licences.
The Palike intends to issue five lakh trade licences during the campaign, aimed at generating additional revenue.
The campaign combined awareness drive as well as distribution of pamphlets among traders. The Commissioner has directed his officers to form teams comprising health inspectors, medical officers and corporators to make the campaign a success.
The officers have also been directed to conduct a door-to-door survey of businesses, issue trade licences and collect the fee. Siddaiah has designated deputy medical officer of respective zones as nodal officer for the campaign. The officers involved in the campaign have been directed to report to the Commissioner on a daily basis.The Palike Commissioner has warned of stringent action against those officials who fail to discharge their duties.
