Now, property tax can be paid at IDBI and Corporation banks, Mayor D
Venkatesh Murthy launched the service for the same on Monday.

Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has tied up with many nationalised
banks, where pepole can pay property tax either online or at the
branches. The Mayor launched the services at IDBI bank, Mission Road
branch and later at Corporation bank on J C Road.
He told
reporters that in the coming days, BBMP will tie up with other
nationalised banks where people can pay property tax without coming to
BBMP offices.
To begin with, the service will be available at 50
branches of IDBI and Corporation banks in Bangalore. This is an
additional facility other than online payment gateway and net-banking
facility that are already provided by the BBMP.
Further the Mayor
said they are extending this facility to other banks including Bangalore
of Maharashtra, Indusind bank, ICICI, Axis Canara, Indian Overseas and
other banks. With this, people can avail service at 350 branches, he
said.
BBMP Additional Commissioner (Finance) D Kiran, Deputy
Commissioner (Revenue) I Ramakanth, Deputy GM IDBI bank Manjunath Rai
were present.
