BBMP to launch cleanliness drive
The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP)
will launch an intensive cleanliness drive at all main roads of the
eight zones of Bangalore.
Following directions from the
BBMP Commissioner M Lakshminarayana, the drive will begin at 8 am and go
on till late in the evening.
The Palike will remove debris from
the roadside and desilt drains so that rain water flows smoothly
without causing floods in the low-lying areas and damage to the City
roads.
The roads selected are AMC Main Road, Shampur Main Road,
Azad Nagar Market Main Road, Palace Road, Margosa Road, Sampige Road,
Lalbagh Fort Road, Road near MTR Hotel, BTM Layout 80 ft Road, West of
Chord Road, Main Roads of Yelahanka, HSR Layout Main Roads, Kothnur Main
Road and Babanna Layout main roads.
