Birth certificate drive to be on for next two Mondays
The drive to issue birth and death certificates will be continued on the next two Mondays.
Of
the 316 applications received during the day, 110 certificates were
issued on the first drive on birth and death certificates on Monday at
the municipal corporation office on Monday. The remaining 206
applications would be disposed of in the next two days, Municipal
Commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana said on Monday.
Another 470 applications received earlier were also disposed of as a part of the drive.
After the drive on the next Mondays, the issue of certificates would be streamlined every month, he said.
On
an average 500 certificates were being issued every day, he said. The
pressure had come down with the certificate being issued on the day of
birth itself, he added. Chief Medical Officer (Health) P.V. Ramana
Murthy was present.
