BMC committee poll results announced

BMC on Tuesday announced the results of its 2013-14 committee
elections. Shiv Sena-BJP-RPI (Athavale) group candidate Sabreddy Mallesh
Bora of RPI was elected president of the markets and garden committee
with 19 votes. Pravin Shah of BJP, who won 18 votes, was elected
vice-chairman.

Another candidate from the same alliance, Makarand Narvekar, was
elected chairman of the law committee after getting 20 votes. Mahadev
Shankar Shivgan, who won 19 votes, was elected as vice chairman with 19
votes.

Meanwhile, Rajeshwari Shirwadkar was chosen chairperson of the
women and child welfare committee of the civic body with 19 votes.
Shirwadkar, too, belongs to the same alliance.
