BMC to create temporary parking facilities during festive season
upcoming festive season, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation will create
‘temporary parking spaces’ at different market places to ease traffic
problem.
These temporary parking facilities will be created at the premises of
schools and hospitals, a top official of the corporation said.
Meanwhile, BMC Commissioner Vishesh Garhpale has directed officials
concerned to send letters to the head of the institutions and
organisations near the main market places to cooperate by allowing the
area for parking in their premises during the festive season.
Officials at the Corporatin said that the Principals of Sardar Patel
Higher Secondary School, Karond, Government Boys Higher Secondary
School, Bharat Talkies, Superintendent of Civil Hospital, Bairgarh have
also been requested to allow their premises for using temporary parking
space.
Bairgarh is a shopping hub for the city people and for people outside
the city. During the festive season increase in the number of customers
throng the Bairagarh market, which creates parking problem and by
providing parking places at nearby places like Bairgarh Civil Hospital
would make shopping easy and comfortable.
Huge crowd are witnessed every year in the Karond market and Old City
market area Hamidia road, Navbahar sabzi mandi, Azad market, Chowk area
and Jumerati area. Parking facility for residents visiting these market
places is going to arranged at Karond Government School and Higher
Secondary School near Bhopal Railway Station area.
